Partnership Renewal with Hockey Australia Announced
Kumho Tyre Australia has announced it will be recommitting to Hockey Australia as an official national partner, signing a new one-year deal running through the end of 2026. The agreement extends and strengthens the existing partnership after the previous renewal in 2023.
Kumho Tyre will continue to support hockey at all levels - from grassroots clubs and community competitions to elite national teams such as the Kookaburras and the Hockeyroos - providing valuable backing for domestic growth and international success.

Hockey Australia Chief Executive Officer David Pryles said the renewal represents a strong endorsement of the sport’s growth and the shared values between both organisations.
“Kumho’s commitment to supporting families travelling to hockey matches, grassroots clubs, and our national teams underscores the shared values between our organisations,” Pryles said.
“Their ongoing support provides stability and ensures we can keep delivering high-quality competitions and development pathways across the country.”
Kumho Tyre Australia Sales & Marketing Director, David Basha, knows Hockey Australia’s work is about so much more than what happens on the field.
“Hockey Australia’s work at all levels from grassroots right up to the national programs is to be commended,” Basha said. “Our partnership is about working together to provide kids and adults at all levels the opportunity to get involved in the sport of hockey."
“We want to be a part of the journey of young kids coming up through the pathway to hopefully one day become a Kookaburra or Hockeyroo.”
Hockey Australia’s commercial program continues to go from strength to strength, with several major renewals and exciting new additions in 2025. Longstanding partners Kookaburra, APM, Hirudoid, and ASICS have reaffirmed their commitment to Australian hockey along with Kumho, while a wave of new partnerships - including Polytan, Sportscover, Australian Venue Co, PWG, Match Worn Shirt, Automatorr, BildGroup, and Musco Sports Lighting - demonstrates growing confidence in the sport’s direction.
The new agreement builds upon a successful partnership that has seen Kumho’s support help expand hockey’s footprint across Australia. Through national exposure, grassroots investment, and continued backing of the national programs, the partnership will play a key role in helping Australian hockey maintain its strong momentum toward future international campaigns, including the 2026 Hockey World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games.
